THEA EXEMPTION

If you plan on attending a Texas college or university, you may have to take the THEA test.  There are ways to be exempt from taking the exam.  One is through your SAT scores.  If you scored at 500 on math and a 500 on critical reading, you are exempt from taking the THEA.  If you don't have the SAT scores, you can use your TAKS scores.  You will need a 2200 on the English Language Arts portion along with a 3 on the essay and a 2200 on the math portion.  If you don't meet any of these qualifications, you will be required to take the exam.  Click on the "THEA" link above to register.
